• No Smoking or Alcohol: Avoid both smoking and alcohol for a minimum of 8 hours prior to your screening.
• Medication: Continue taking regular medications (e.g., blood pressure or thyroid medicine). Skip diabetes medication only on the morning of the screening. If you are taking blood thinners (e.g., aspirin or warfarin), please confirm instructions with your primary doctor beforehand.
• Pelvic Ultrasound: To ensure clear imaging, you must have a full bladder. Drink 4–5 glasses of plain water and avoid urinating until this test is complete.
• Abdominal Ultrasound: You must remain fasted until the abdominal ultrasound is finished.
• Treadmill Stress Test: Please consult with your doctor regarding your fitness level. Have a light breakfast beforehand, avoid caffeine entirely, and bring appropriate running gear. Empty your bladder just before the test begins.
• X-Ray & Mammogram (Women): X-rays and Mammograms are not recommended during pregnancy. A Beta HCG blood test may be required. For mammograms, please schedule 7–10 days after your period and avoid wearing deodorant or powders.
• Women’s Specific Tests: Schedule your Pap smear, urine, and stool tests 7–10 days after your menstrual period ends. If you are menstruating during your appointment, please notify our staff to complete other tests and schedule a follow-up for the remaining ones.
• If Unwell: Postpone your screening if you are experiencing fever, flu, or any infection.
